Welcome to my blog/studio where I will talk about my newly published artists' books, and photography–the tool I use to create my books. I will share my creative process by reflecting on the approaches and structures I use, how words & images come to fruition, my writing explorations of late, and more. Your comments and stories are most welcome.
Half Measure Studio is only 10 feet by 10 feet in reality and came with our downgrade to a smaller home when we moved to Idaho last July. I guess I have been reading too many “Life Edited” stories. My last studio was not large, per se, but for me it was the largest I ever worked in, 20 feet by 12 feet.
I enjoy my small studio even if I need to step over my rotary cutter when in use for a particular project, then step over my press waiting for the next box cover to dry and stepping over our little Sheltie, Topaz, snoring on the floor between my desk and printer. Finally, after making it to the other side of my studio, I can work at my computer feeling very cozy.
